The Molly O. Kunkel Nursing Fund

A registered nurse for over twelve years, Molly Kunkel joined the Transverse Myelitis Center in December 2004. A certified case manager and a multiple sclerosis educator prior to joining the team, she became an integral member of the center.

Molly was the first line of contact for patients searching for a treatment, a cure or simply hope in dealing with this life-altering event. Whether facilitating physician recommendations or coordinating clinical trials, Molly brought a ray of sunlight into the lives of those facing a difficult diagnosis.

Molly passed away from cancer in September 2007. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Molly O. Kunkel Nursing Fund. The fund will support the excellent nursing care for neuroimmunologic disease that was her legacy at Johns Hopkins. She was an incredible source of inspiration to all of us and is missed dearly.
