Dr. Hyder JinnahAssociate Professor of Neurology
Dr. H.A. Jinnah received his medical degree and Ph.D. from the University of California. He then completed an internship in medicine at the Hershey Medical Center. He went on to complete a residency in neurology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Now an Associate Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Jinnah focuses on movement disorders such as Parkinsons, tremor, ataxia, dystonia, tics, restless legs syndrome, chorea and myoclonus. He has a special interest in movement disorders of young people.
Dr. Jinnah maintains active research programs related to dystonia and Lesch-Nyhan disease in order to develop a better understanding of the brain processes underlying these conditions. He uses anatomical, biochemical and physiological studies. The laboratory and clinical studies are funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome Children’s Research Foundation.
Dr. Jinnah currently sees patients at The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center located in Baltimore on Wednesdays and Fridays.
