Prepare for a Procedure

Most of our procedures do not require much preparation. If your visit requires an MRI with anesthesia, some preparation will be required. A sedation screening sheet will need to be completed by the doctor ordering the MRI with anesthesia. The parents of the patient will also receive guidelines for the anesthesia. We ask that parents bring a list of all medications and clear fluids for the patient after the procedure as well as a stroller or wheelchair for small children.

If a referral or insurance authorization is required, the physician’s office needs to have the required documents prior to the appointment. It is the patient’s/patient’s family’s responsibility to make sure the Pediatric Neurologist’s office has the referral and insurance authorization. Please fax these documents to 410.614.2297.
