Application Information
At the present time, all available positions in our program are filled.
The next available position for PGY-2 begins July, 2010. Application for
positions beginning July, 2010 can be made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Our application deadline for the 2009 match is October 24, 2008.
Applications postmarked after that date will not be accepted.
We
will begin contacting prospective candidates regarding interviews by
mid-October to early November, 2008. Around this time, we strongly urge you
to check daily both e-mail and telephone machines for messages regarding
interviews, however, our primary method of notification regarding selection
for interviews will be via e-mail messages.
Our interview dates are as follows:
- Thursday, November 20, 2008
- Thursday, December 4, 2008
- Thursday, December 18, 2008
- Thursday, January 8, 2009
To assist you in making your travel arrangments, we would like to let you know that if you are able to arrive by mid-afternoon on the day before your interview, we offer you the opportunity to participate in a tour of our affiliated hospital, The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medicle Center. Additionally, all interviewees are invited to dinner with our residents the evening prior
to their interview. We understand that travel constraints may make it difficult
to attend these events, and therefore your attendance is not mandatory,
but you are encouraged to attend if possible. We feel that the tour of Bayview and the casual
dinners provide an ideal opportunity for candidates to learn more details
about our program and get to know our housestaff.
If you are selected to interview for the Neurology Residency program,
we can assist in making arrangements for you to interview for your transitional
year as an Intern in Internal Medicine with our affiliated programs, The
Johns Hopkins Hospital Internal Medicine Residency and
The
Johns Hopkins Bayview Internal Medicine Residency.
