Support Groups

Johns Hopkins
The Johns Hopkins Hospital multi-disciplinary neuro-oncology team offers a monthly brain tumor education group. The goal is to give patients and their care givers an opportunity to expand their knowledge about these difficult tumors and to provide an atmosphere of fellowship and support. The group meets from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center – Weinberg Building, Room B-143, located on level L-2. Speakers provide a wide range of educational topics related to brain tumors, tumor therapies and side effects. Examples include surgical decision making, medical treatments, nutrition, rehabilitation and cognitive impairment. Light refreshments are served.

For more information about this group, please contact Ashley Varner, LCSW-C, at 410.955.8371.
